What Groomr remembers
Tell Groomr something once and it keeps it, so you and your team don’t have to repeat it. You can see everything it remembers, and correct or remove any of it.
Ask Groomr
“Remember that we always use the hypoallergenic shampoo unless the owner asks otherwise”
Groomr saves facts that stay true: about your business (services, policies, brand voice), about how you like to work, and about a specific client or pet. A small marker appears on your message to show it remembered something. It doesn’t interrupt the conversation to tell you.
To save a fact about one client or pet, @-mention them in the same message, for example “@Daisy hates the dryer”. See Commands and mentions.
What it doesn’t save as a memory: one-off decisions, passing moods, and anything that has its own place in a profile. Hours, prices, client and pet details, temperament, allergies, medications and vaccines go into the profile fields instead, where everyone can find them. It only saves what you said or confirmed, and asks before saving anything it worked out on its own.
To be reminded to do something, such as “check Bella’s ears next visit”, ask for a follow-up instead. That’s a reminder, not a memory.
Or do it yourself
Your business and you:
- Go to Settings, then Memory (under Groomr AI). The page is called What Groomr knows.
- Open a topic to see its facts.
- To correct a fact, edit its text. To remove one, select Remove fact (the X beside it).
- Select Save changes.
To clear a whole group, select Forget all. When there are many facts, use Search memories… to find one.
A client or pet:
- Open the client or pet’s profile.
- Find What Groomr remembers: on the client’s Info tab, or in Notes on the pet’s Care tab.
- Select Forget beside any fact you want removed.
Good to know
- Memory needs a paid plan: Pay-as-you-go (a card on file) or Groomr Pro. On the Free plan Groomr doesn’t save or use memories. If you move back to Free, nothing is deleted, and your memories come back when you upgrade again.
- Your team shares it. A fact about a client or pet is there for everyone who works with them.
- Who can edit it. Settings, Memory needs permission to edit settings. By default that’s the Owner and Admin roles.
