Cancellation policy
Your cancellation policy says how close to an appointment a client can cancel for free, and what you charge for a late cancellation or a no-show.
Ask Groomr
“Cancelling within 24 hours costs 50% of the service, and a no-show is $40”
Groomr updates only the parts you mention and leaves the rest as they are, then replies with the full policy so you can check it. Owners and Admins can ask this.
Or do it yourself
- Go to Settings → Commerce → Cancellation policy.
- Under Late cancellation & no-show, enter the Free cancellation window (hours).
- Set the Late cancellation fee: enter an amount and choose % of service or Flat fee.
- Set the No-show fee the same way.
- Click Save changes.
Good to know
The window. A client who cancels earlier than this pays nothing. One who cancels inside it is charged the late cancellation fee. Set it to 0 to never charge for a cancellation. It starts at 24 hours.
A no-show is a client who never arrives and never called.
Switching between % and flat fee resets the amount to zero, so enter it again after you switch.
Groomr doesn’t collect these fees yet. Saving records your policy. The plan is for Groomr to prepare each fee and put it in your Inbox for you to charge or dismiss, and it will never charge a no-show fee on its own. That part isn’t built yet, so for now any fee is collected by hand.
Who can do it. Owners and Admins can change the cancellation policy.
