The Directory

The Directory is one list of everyone in your business: clients, their pets, and your team. It opens as a panel beside your conversation, so you can look someone up and get straight back to what you were doing.

Ask Groomr

“Find the Johnsons”

“Which clients have a dog called Max?”

Groomr searches your clients by name and lists the matches, with each client’s phone, email and pets. Ask a follow-up, such as “open her profile” or “what’s her number?”, and it works from the client you found.

Or do it yourself

  1. In the rail, select More.

  2. Select Directory. The panel opens with the title Clients, pets and team.

  3. Type in Search names, pets, phone or email to narrow the list.

  4. Pick a filter to scope the list:

    FilterShows
    AllClients and coworkers together
ClientsClients only, with their pets tucked underneath
PetsEvery pet as its own row, with its owner’s name
    CoworkersYour teammates
Never bookedClients who have a profile but no appointment yet
  5. Select a client or pet to open their profile. Use the back arrow to return to the list with your search still in place.

A client’s pets are hidden until you select the arrow at the right of their row. If you search for a pet’s name, the matching clients open automatically.

Good to know

  • Never booked is a quick way to find people you added or imported who never booked. If everyone has booked, it says Every client on file has booked.
  • The list loads up to 50 clients at a time. If you don’t see someone, search for them.
  • The + button at the top of the panel is for adding a teammate (Invite teammate), not a client.
  • There is no map in the Directory. For a mobile client’s route, open their profile and use Directions. See Client profiles.
  • Anyone with the View Clients permission (clients.view) can use the Directory. Every default role has it, including Subcontractor.
