Services and pricing
Everything that decides what a groom costs lives under Settings → Commerce. You can change most of it by asking Groomr, or by opening the page yourself.
The pages
| Page | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Your service menu | The services you offer, their prices and how long they take |
| Modifiers | Adjustments for coat, temperament and add-ons |
| Day and time premiums | Extra charges for certain days, such as a weekend rate |
| Promotions | Discounts that apply automatically at checkout |
| Cuts | Which cuts you offer for each breed |
| Tax | Your sales tax rate and what it applies to |
| Cancellation policy | Late-cancellation and no-show fees |
The first three are sections of one page, Services & Pricing. The rest each have their own page.
How a final price is worked out
- Base price. The service’s price for the pet’s size, the appointment length, or its flat rate.
- Modifiers. Any that apply are added to the base. A percent modifier is a percent of the base price.
- Premiums and promotions. Each is worked out on the total from step 2. Every matching premium is added. For promotions, the client gets the best deal available.
- The floor. After premiums and promotions, a price never goes below $5.
