Photos, voice and dictation

You don’t have to type everything. Send Groomr a photo and it works out what it shows, or talk to it when your hands are busy.

Send a photo

“This is Bella after her groom”

Attach a photo to your message, with or without text. Groomr says in a few words what the photo shows and offers the matching next step. It acts once you agree, or straight away if your message already asked.

You sendGroomr offers to
A photo of a dogSave it to that pet’s photos. If two pets share the name, it asks which owner.
A vaccine card or vet recordRead the vaccines and show you a card to check them. Nothing is saved until you tap Save. Low-confidence rows are marked Check, and expired shots are marked Expired.
A receiptLog the expense, reading the vendor, amount and date from the receipt.
A grooming van or trailerAdd the van. It reads the make, model, color, plate and any wrap text, marks each field “From photo”, and shows you a card to check before saving.

If Groomr can’t tell what the photo is, or what you want done with it, it asks.

Or do it yourself

  1. In the chat box, select the + button (Add attachment).
  2. Choose Upload files or photos and pick the photo.
  3. Add a message if you like, then send.

Talk to Groomr hands-free

In your Groomr chat, the round orb at the right of the chat box starts hands-free voice.

  1. Tap the orb (Tap to arm hands-free voice).
  2. While it waits, it shows Listening for “Hey Jarvis”. Say that, then talk to Groomr as you would type to it.
  3. During a conversation the orb shows Listening…, Thinking… or Speaking…. Tap it to stop.

Dictate a message to your team

In conversations with people, such as a group conversation or a direct message with a coworker, the chat box has a microphone instead of the orb.

  1. Tap the microphone (Dictate a message) and speak.
  2. Tap it again to stop. Groomr adds what you said to the chat box.
  3. Read it over, fix anything, and send.

Dictation never sends on its own.

Good to know

  • Location data is removed. When a photo is stored, Groomr strips its location (GPS) and other camera details, so a photo taken at a client’s home doesn’t carry the address.
  • Vaccines from a photo are never saved in the same step. You always check the card first. Expiry dates you save drive vaccine reminders.
  • A van’s home base and service area are set afterwards under Settings → Business → Profile, on the Vehicles tab.
